How to Upgrade or Downgrade Your Plan

You can change your OwlCloudHost plan at any time. Whether you need more storage, want to reduce your plan, or simply explore other options, the process is quick and flexible. This guide explains how to upgrade, downgrade, and what happens when your plan changes.

🔄 When to Upgrade or Downgrade

Users typically upgrade when they:

• Need more storage

• Work with large files (videos, photos, archives)

• Collaborate with teams or clients

• Want more flexibility and performance

Users downgrade when they:

• No longer need as much storage

• Are simplifying their workspace

• Want to reduce monthly costs

📍 Where to Change Your Plan

You can manage your plan inside your account settings.

Steps:

• Open Account Settings

• Go to Billing & Plans

• Your current plan will be displayed at the top

• Select Change Plan

This opens the full list of available plans.

⬆️ Upgrading Your Plan

Upgrading gives you more storage and unlocks higher‑tier features.

Steps:

• Go to Billing & Plans

• Choose the plan you want to upgrade to

• Click Upgrade

• Confirm your payment method (Stripe, PayPal, Cash App Pay, or US bank account)

• Complete the upgrade

Your new plan becomes active immediately, and your storage increases instantly.

⬇️ Downgrading Your Plan

You can downgrade at any time, but your storage usage must be below the limit of the plan you’re switching to.

Steps:

• Go to Billing & Plans

• Select the lower‑tier plan

• Click Downgrade

• Confirm the change

If your current storage exceeds the new plan’s limit, you’ll be asked to free up space before downgrading.

💳 Payment Adjustments

When you change plans:

• Upgrades are charged immediately

• Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle

• Any unused time on your current plan is automatically prorated

All payments are processed securely through:

• Stripe

• PayPal

• Cash App Pay

• US bank account (ACH)

🛡️ Your Files Stay Safe

Changing your plan does not delete your files.

If you downgrade and exceed your new storage limit:

• You can still access your files

• Uploading and importing are paused

• You can free space or upgrade again anytime

Your data is always protected.

You can view your renewal date inside Billing & Plans, along with:

• Next charge

• Payment method

• Billing history

This helps you stay on top of your subscription.
