Resetting your password is one of the simplest and most important ways to protect your account. Whether you forgot your password or just want to update it for security reasons, OwlCloudHost makes the process quick and secure.
Resetting your password is recommended when:
You forgot your current password
You noticed unfamiliar login activity
You recently lost a device
You reused your password on another site
You want to strengthen your account security
A strong, unique password is one of the best defenses against unauthorized access.
If you can still access your account:
Steps:
Open Account Settings
Go to Security
Select Change Password
Enter your current password
Create a new, strong password
Save your changes
Your new password takes effect immediately.
If you can’t log in:
Steps:
Go to the Login page
Select Forgot Password?
Enter your email address
Check your inbox for the reset link
Click the link and create a new password
For security, the reset link expires after a short time.
If 2FA is active, you may be asked to:
Enter your 2FA code
Use a backup code if you lost your device
This ensures only you can reset your password.
If the email doesn’t arrive:
Check your spam or junk folder
Make sure you entered the correct email
Wait a few minutes in case of delays
Try sending the reset link again
If you still can’t access your account, you can request account recovery.
Once your password is updated:
All active sessions may be logged out
You may need to sign in again on all devices
Review your Browser Sessions for unfamiliar activity
Confirm that 2FA is still enabled
This ensures your account stays fully protected.
A secure password should include:
At least 12 characters
Uppercase and lowercase letters
Numbers
Symbols
No personal information
No reused passwords from other sites
Password managers can help generate and store strong passwords safely.
